What Drives Us

Our Mission

Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow is a volunteer-driven non-profit that provides adaptive sports, recreational opportunities and educational experiences to the Mount Snow community and its visitors throughout the year. We help individuals with disabilities to develop skills and instill pride and confidence that enables them to demonstrate their strengths and capabilities.

We have over 200 volunteers and they are the heart of the organization. They come from all walks of life. Some are students, others are educators. Some are physical therapists, occupational therapists or counselors. Others are carpenters or machine operators. Some are parents, others are retired. Some are skiers. Some are snowboarders. And others find ways to help indoors. But all put students first, and all have a blast while they volunteer.

Many younger people with disabilities often miss out on the social benefits of group experiences. Our peer volunteer program seeks to create age appropriate relationships between youth with disabilities and their peers without disabilities.
